Conall McCaffrey joins IHLS as part of the University of Liverpool’s ‘Law with a Year in Industry’ programme. This immersive experience offers students the opportunity to engage with real-world legal work, gaining invaluable insights into the legal profession.

Having completed his second year of his Law with Business degree, Conall is spending spend the next 12 months at IHLS, working closely with the team on various legal projects. Under expert mentorship, he will gain hands-on experience, particularly within the Transaction Support Solutions department, where his role involves drafting, negotiating, and reviewing legal documents, assisting with legal administration, and engaging with clients.

Conall is eager to expand his practical knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of the day-to-day responsibilities of a paralegal and trainee solicitor during his placement.

Fun fact: My great-great grandad worked at the Belfast telegraph and was the first person to hear about the titanic sinking. The original telegram was on an auction show on Channel 4.
