Our Team

Marie is an experienced solicitor who joined the team at IHLS in December 2019.  

Marie studied Law at The University of Birmingham and began her legal career working in private practice at Weightmans LLP, specialising in corporate transactions, corporate structuring, and governance. Marie qualified into their corporate team in September 2017. 

  Since qualifying Marie has continued to gain experience in mergers and acquisitions, management buy-outs, re-structures, company formations, due diligence, corporate governance, and director/shareholder disputes, advising businesses across a number of industry sectors. 

  Having recently taken some time off to start a family, Marie works on our external legal team solutions and enjoys strengthening her commercial contract experience by now advising on a wide range of commercial contracts. 

  Marie is also one of our Mental Health Champions at IHLS, something she is passionate about and aided by having worked in different environments. Marie also leads our Employee Engagement side of the business, ensuring that IHLS remains an attractive, competitive, and supportive environment for its employees and future lawyers. 

  Fun fact: Marie is an expert in juggling, since becoming a mother!
