IHLS round-up of social initiatives in March and April.
Our team is the foundation of everything we do and while legal work often demands deep focus and hard work, we believe in balancing this with opportunities to connect, celebrate, and support one another beyond our desks. Over the past few months, there’s been a variety of social initiatives and celebrations happening at In-house legal solutions, which has also been a great way to educate the team on different topics and celebrate national holidays. Have a read of our social calendar to gain insight into life at IHLS:
International Women’s Day celebrations
We’re incredibly proud of the women at IHLS and are dedicated to empowering women. On International Women’s Day, we hosted a special team quiz to highlight the achievements of remarkable women throughout history. It was a moment to reflect, and celebrate the ongoing contributions of women, as we aim to create an inclusive environment.
Ramadan & Eid Celebrations
To celebrate Ramadan and Eid our team was treated to an incredible spread of traditional Bangladeshi dishes, Thanks to Redgate Catering who are a family-run business based in Liverpool and Formby. We’re grateful to Rahel Goni for organising both the feast and an inspiring educational session all about Ramadan and the Islamic faith.
Rahel’s presentation took us through the Five Pillars of Islam, the importance of Zakat (charitable giving), and broader reflections on faith in its many forms. He wrapped up with another great
quiz, which sparked some great conversations across the office. These moments of learning and celebration are part of our ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive, and cu at IHLS.
April – Easter festivals
This Easter, the rooftop of our office building transformed into a chocolate egg scavenger hunt! From the Tiki bar to the bee hives, the team went all out to find them- though a few eggs didn’t survive the Liverpool sunshine!
To wrap up the Easter festivities, the team had a brilliant night out at Roxy Ballroom- trading NDA contracts for bowling balls. There were ‘a few’ celebratory drinks and some memorable karaoke performances, notably “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” by Jacob Chishiba, proving once again that the legal talent at IHLS is matched only by our hidden musical flair.
