IHLS wins Talent Trailblazer Award in its 10th anniversary year.

We’re delighted to have won the Talent Trailblazer Award at the Liverpool Chamber Innovation & Impact Awards.
The award recognises the work that we have done to support and develop people at different stages of their careers and comes as we celebrate our 10th anniversary.
Over the past decade, we’ve supported future solicitors through training contracts, taken part in the University of Liverpool’s legal Year in Industry programme, offered internships, including through Liverpool John Moores University, and supported young people through the Government’s Kickstart Scheme.
We’ve also supported people as they’ve developed and progressed within the team, from those starting out in their careers through to colleagues moving into more senior roles.

Reflecting on the award, IHLS co-founder Lauren Cannon said:
“Winning the Talent Trailblazer Award feels particularly special in our 10th anniversary year.
“Over the last decade, we’ve supported people at many different stages of their careers, from those just starting out through to colleagues progressing into senior roles.
“There is a huge amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to support, mentor and develop people, so it means a great deal to see that recognised.
“We were also incredibly touched that the nomination came from outside the business. A huge thank you to Kerry Swift for taking the time to nominate us, and to the judges for recognising the work of the whole team.”
The award follows IHLS being named Social Mobility Initiative of the Year at the Legal 500 UK ESG Awards 2026, where our Wider Participation-focused Summer Vacation Scheme, Year in Industry placement with the School of Law and Social Justice at the University of Liverpool and “Leg Up to Law” schools outreach programme were among the initiatives recognised.
We were also highly commended in the Law Firm of the Year category at the Women & Diversity in Law Awards 2026.
Thank you to everyone across the team who contributes to supporting and developing the people who join IHLS, and to Kerry Swift for taking the time to nominate us for the Talent Trailblazer Award.
