Bringing together General Counsel and senior in-house legal leaders from some of the UK’s best-known organisations, The GC Spotlight Podcast gives listeners the opportunity to hear directly from experienced in-house lawyers about the career journeys, decisions and lessons that have shaped them.
The first episode features David Morgan, General Counsel and Company Secretary at Warburtons. David shares why he chose to leave private practice after just six months, how he planned his career from an early stage, and the experiences that shaped his leadership style. He also discusses leadership, resilience, managing legal risk and what it takes to become an effective General Counsel.

That’s why launching The GC Spotlight Podcast felt like such a natural next step. We wanted to create a place where General Counsel could learn from other General Counsel by hearing honest conversations about the challenges they face, the decisions they’ve made throughout their careers and the lessons they’ve learnt along the way.”
