Sarah Khoshaba

Legal Assistant (Year In Industry)

Sarah Khoshaba joins IHLS as part of the University of Liverpool’s Law with a Year in Industry Programme. This immersive experience offers students the opportunity to engage with real world legal work, gaining invaluable insights into the legal profession.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wayne State University in the United States and is also an ABA-certified Paralegal. She has experience working in litigation, with a particular focus on motor vehicle accident claims, slip and fall matters, and catastrophic injury cases.

She is currently completing an accelerated LLB at the University of Liverpool, and she will spend the next 12 months at IHLS, working closely with the team on various legal projects. Under mentorship, she will gain hands-on experience, particularly within the Transaction Support Solution department, where her role involves drafting, negotiating, and reviewing legal documents, assisting with legal administration, and engaging with clients.

Sarah is keen to expand her practical legal expertise and gain a comprehensive understanding of the roles and responsibilities undertaken by paralegals and trainee solicitors within the UK legal sector. In particular, she is keen to develop her knowledge of transactional legal work and how it is carried out in practice, complementing her existing background in the more litigation-oriented legal framework commonly associated with the United States.

Fun fact: Sarah was a member of her middle and high school’s marching band where she played the trombone.
